Never Forget

Your presence is a present to the world.

Prescriptions For A Better Life

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk,
smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.

2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.

3. Go to bed earlier and get more sleep.

4. When you wake up in the morning complete the following:
'Today, my primary purpose is to make a difference for __________.'

5. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.

6. Play more games and read more books than you did
last year.

7. Make time to practice meditation, and prayer.
They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.

8. Spend time with people over the age of 70 and under
the age of 7.

9. Dreama little more while you are awake.

10. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat
less food that is manufactured or packaged in factories.

11. Drink plenty of water. Eat blueberries,
wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.

12. Try to make at least three people smile each day.

13. Clear clutter from your house, your car, your desk and
let new energy flow into your life.

14. Don't waste your energy on gossip, issues of the past,
negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead
invest your energy in the positive present moment.

15. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn.
Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear
and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you
learn will last a lifetime.

16. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner
like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.

17. Smile and laugh more. It will keep the NEGATIVE
BLUES away.

18. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

20. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

21. You won't win every argument. Agree to disagree.

22. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.

23. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea
what their journey is all about.

24. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

25. Frame every so-called disaster with these words:
'In five years, will this matter?'

26. Forgive everyone for everything.

27. What other people think of you is none of your
business.

28. Remember, God heals.

29. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

30. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

31. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

33. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

Conversation with God

* I asked God to take away my pain.

* God said, No. Her spirit was whole, her body was only temporary.
* I asked God to grant me patience.

* Patience is a by-product of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is earned.
* I asked God to give me happiness.
* God said, No. I give you blessings. Happiness is up to you.
* I asked God to spare me pain.
* God said, No. Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.
* I asked God to make my spirit grow.
* God said, No.You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful.
* I asked for all things that I might enjoy life.
* God said, No. I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things.
* I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much as he loves me.

I have Learned

I've learned that you cannot make someone love you.
All you can do is be someone who can be loved.
The rest is up to them.
I've learned that no matter how much I care,
some people just don't care back.
And it's not the end of the world.
I've learned that it takes years to build up trust,
and only seconds to destroy it.
I've learned that it's not what you have in your life,
but who you have in your life that counts.
I've learned that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes.
After that, you'd better know something.

I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself
to the best others can do,
but to the best you can do.
I've learned that it's not what happens to people,
It's what they do about it.
I've learned that no matter how thin you slice it,
there are always two sides.
I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words.
It may be the last time you see them.
I've learned that you can keep going
long after you think you can't.

I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done
When it needs to be done
regardless of the consequences.
I've learned that there are people who love you dearly,
but just don't know how to show it.
I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't five me the right to be cruel.
I've learned that true friendship continues to grow even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.
I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to
doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I've learned that no matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you every once in a while
and you must forgive them for that.
I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken,
the world doesn't stop for your grief.
I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are,
but we are responsible for who we become.
I've learned that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean that they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I've learned that sometimes you have to put the individual
ahead of their actions.
I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing
and see something totally different.
I've learned that no matter the consequences,
those who are honest with themselves get farther in life.
I've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of hours
by people who don't even know you.
I've learned that even when you think you have no more to give,
when a friend cries out to you,
you will find the strength to help.

I've learned that writing,
as well as talking,
can ease emotional pains.
I've learned that the people you care most about in life
are taken from you too soon.
I've learned that it's hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice
and not hurting people's feelings and standing up for what you believe.

11 Rules to Always Follow

  1. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
  2. When you say, "I love you," mean it.
  3. When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye.
  4. Believe in love at first sight.
  5. Love deeply and passionately. You may get hurt, but it's the only way to live life completely.
  6. Don't judge people by their relatives, or by the life they were born into.
  7. Marry a person you love to talk to. As you get older, his/her conversational skills will be even more important.
  8. Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
  9. Don't just listen to what someone is saying. Listen to why they are saying it.
  10. Don't trust anyone who doesn't close his/her eyes when you kiss.
